Trolling for big game species in Mallorca is fantastic. We fish around the drop offs and famous sea mounts that are full of life. This is where we chase Bluefin Tuna (15-50kg), Spearfish, Albacore (10-20kg), Little Tunny (10-20kg), Skipjack (10kg) and Mahi Mahi.
So many species choose Mallorca as their breeding grounds, water temperature, special currents and a unique water salinity all play their part in making Mallorca the perfect breeding ground for pelagic species. We are very lucky that so many species live here or pass through.
This is such an exciting fishing experience with multiple strikes, feeding frenzies, screaming reels and a real work out.
There’s also the chance to see dolphins and whales on the surface.

Another really important point to touch on is that the government has vowed to protect these areas from Commercial Fishing in Mallorca, meaning the habitat will remain untouched and the species that live there will only be responsibly fished by private fishermen and small charters like ourselves.
